Greetland’s Victoria Mills welcomes multi award winning energy efficiency provider Yorkshire Energy Solutions
Elland-based developer Rosemount Estates has completed a radical conversion of Victoria Mills, one of Greetland’s most historic and well-known landmarks. The building, which is already home to several tenants on the ground floor following the first stage conversion nine years ago, has recently welcomed its first upper floor tenant, Yorkshire Energy Services CIC (YES Energy Solutions), into the top two floors.
Andy Thornton, of Rosemount Estates, said “We’re delighted to welcome YES Energy Solutions to the building. The first phase of the development involving the successful conversion of the ground floor into retail and leisure units in 2015 provided a real boost to West Vale and the surrounding areas. We are confident that this letting, which provides office space for up to 150 people on second and third floors, will have a similar impact.”
YES Energy Solutions offers a broad range of energy solutions for households, businesses and public sector bodies across Great Britain. Duncan McCombie, CEO, added “Following a period of significant growth we’re delighted to be moving our head office to Victoria Mills. We’ve benefitted from a really collaborative relationship with Rosemount Estates throughout the entire refurbishment process and are very pleased with the result. We have taken a long lease as we expect the space will support our continued growth over the coming decade. Colleagues are over the moon about the fantastic environment and we hope it will act as a ‘green beacon’ for other businesses.”
The remaining space in the building comprises of a wide range of commercial units from 900 to 10,000 sq. ft with generous car parking provision as well as innovative heating, lighting and connectivity. This, together with the retained industrial character of the mill, offers potential tenants a practical, contemporary and sustainable work-space solution.
Ryan Barker of Walker Singleton, the letting agent for the scheme, concluded: “The refurbishment provides stunning space in the heart of Greetland which is a highly desirable location thanks to its village atmosphere and easy access to the motorway network via the new A629 link. We already have a number of exciting active enquiries for the remaining space and expect the letting to YES Energy Solutions will generate further interest among businesses in the local area.”
The construction and fit-out works were overseen by Ben Holden from Property Consultants T D Jagger Ltd of Mytholmroyd
“We moved to Rosemount estate in February 2019 after our previous premises were destroyed by fire. Rosemount estates worked proactively with us to make the premises suitable for our specific requirements within a tight timeframe and have continued to be accommodating and flexible to meet our needs.
The estate is well maintained with a strong focus on security, the site team are always on hand to discuss any ideas or issues and they have proven to be a very accommodating landlord.
We are now expanding into an adjoining yard which will further boost our capacity from these premises which we hope will extend our relationship with Rosemount estates for many years to come. We would happily recommend Rosemount to any prospective tenants.”
“ABS UK Ltd have been a tenant with Rosemount Estates for 2 years now, entering their building in March 2015. In this time we have found the maintenance and security of the whole estate to be second to none.
Refurbishment of our new premises was done to a high standard and we were kept up to date throughout the entire process, we were also included in discussions for the finishing touches to make sure we were happy.
Rosemount estates are always on hand to help with any issues we come up against, nothing is ever too much trouble for them.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Rosemount Estates to any potential tenant.”
"Boxing day 2015 HRS Hevac were devastated by the Boxing day floods in Sowerby Bridge. This left us without a business premises and inevitably no chance to manufacture products for our clients. The first week of the New Year was spent searching for a new building that would suit our office and production requirements. Luckily we found the perfect location on Rosemount estate, unluckily the property was undergoing major re-works prior to letting to new tenants. I contacted the Agent and arranged to meet the Landlords in the factory to see if we could do anything to expedite the situation. To say the landlords moved Heaven and Earth would be an understatement, they went above and beyond and pretty much completed 4 months’ work in 2! This allowed us to commence production within 4 weeks of the initial meeting.
Rosemount estate is a lovely place to have a factory and work, the grounds and shrubbery are always maintained and we seldom have any problems regarding litter blowing about. The site is secure and any issues that require the Landlords attention are dealt with swiftly and in a polite and professional manner. HRS would have no qualms about recommending Rosemount estates and our Landlords to any prospective tenants."
